Shalakya tantra is one among the eight branches of Ayurveda that deals with the etiology, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of the diseases located above the neck region such as ear, nose throat, eye, head and scalp disorders. This branch is also known by the name "Urdhwangachikitsa".
